Double crossed?

I read this in The Times this morning:

'One Anglican bishop said that he did not believe in the survival of individual "souls" after death. The bishop did admit, however, to the possibility of a non-specific "life-force" energising everyone on earth.'

My boss pointed out that Anglican bishops' signatures have a cross after their name - and Archbishops sign with a double cross...

James I thought I would leave a comment as you seem to be struggling to compete with Tschaka - I do enjoy reading your site but you need to be more provocative in order to get more responses.

This entry makes me appreciate even more that the JA leaders aren't paid as it prevents non-believers such as the arch-bishop you referred to, from using the church as a career or a status thing.

Thanks for the comment Adrian. I originally started this blog so that I could leave a comment on Andy's and never intended it to be read by many people... but it's a funny thing: the blogging bug took hold of me and I started to want it to be read (I suppose, really, that's the point of writing a blog). So, yes, when the baleful "0 comments" stares at me day in day out it has all the po-faced, miserable, unfriendly effect of starting the day by having a cold flannel wrung out over your face. So thanks!

I would comment more but sometimes your blog is over my head, no offence meant by that though James. Why don't you just check your views, often you'll find them loads higher than you comments,if you're wanting to get a message across by your blog it can be encouraging to see how many times it's actually viewed..remember it's often those that don't comment that can be learning most from your blog.

I would encourage you to keep plodding on with your blog, you never know who might read it or how it might talk to them
